What the caterpillar calls the end of the world,
the Master calls a butterfly.

Interview with Kiki Latimer about "Comfort. Meeting God in Grief."

I recently had the great joy of joining Kiki Latimer on The Catholic Bookworm podcast for a heartfelt conversation about grief, faith, and my book Comfort: Meeting God in Grief.

We spoke about how loss reshapes our spiritual lives, how to accompany those who are grieving, and how the book’s multi-sensory meditations — using prayer, art, and imagination — can gently help readers who feel stuck in sorrow begin to integrate their loved ones into a renewed life of hope.

We also reflected on the surprising question of when Christ may seem absent, and how the Communion of Saints surrounds us with quiet companionship even in our darkest moments.

Kiki generously described the book as “gorgeous” and a meaningful gift for anyone walking through loss. I’m deeply grateful for this conversation and hope it will be a source of comfort for many.
